Gillian Vrooman is the President of the Open Data Society of BC and the Director of Communications and Engagement for the College of Pharmacists of BC. She’s inspired by meaningful engagement opportunities, open initiatives and ingenious digital solutions.
Gillian’s a staunch supporter of all things open – open data, open source, open info, open learning, open Internet. Her work focuses on how communities can be empowered through the Internet to grow ideas that enrich people’s lives. She’s a millennial, technology addict, digital native and early adopter. She believes in the Internet’s power to find innovative solutions for complex problems.
Gillian is known for moving public sector organizations forward with meaningful digital strategies and engagement campaigns. She also hosts awesome hackathons and open data events.
